Born and raised in South Africa, she attended Onderstepoort University and treated many different African animals and pets.

Along with her husband, she lives in Aguanga with their dogs, horses and chickens and the occasional wildlife resident that needs help.

 

Chandre has worked in emergency, day practice and zoo medicine. In 2013 she was instrumental in assisting UC Davis doing research on the Big Bear Tree Squirrel epidemic. She has an interest in holistic and western medicine, integrating both modalities in her work and homelife.
